ALL OLD TALES FEATURES SPOILERS FOR OTHER MODS.

Everyone's so caught up in all these new tales of aliens and whatnot, but no one ever talks about the days of old anymore. Not one whisper about the old famous Explorer Archibald Reynold, or Van Holden but these guys called Edison Trent, and Gasper Orillion. Our flyboys back in those days could've schooled them easily. Hey, that brings me the most marvellous Idea. Why don't I tell you a few tales about these certain historical mentions that everyone forgot except me? Well, I don't care whether you want to or not, I'm going to tell you anyway.

    SODOM AND GOMMORRAH

In 524AD, in the New York system were two Liberty Destroyers. They were apparently deemed undefeated by any ship of their kind. They had state-of-the-art technology and Titanium classed armour. Back in these days, those were the most advanced armour you could purchase to outfit your ship. Anyway, one day, the two Destroyers were sent to a Criminal base to attack and hopefully destroy the Base as well as all the criminals on it. You would think the two most Powerful destroyers in all known Sirius could have easily took down a measly Pirate Base, but that wasn't the case at all. The Sodom Destroyer had it's Siege Cannon blown off by an Ordinance mine, and the Gomorrah destroyer had a Pirate Torpedo hit it's main auxiliary engines. These pirates knew the in's and out's of the Destroyers. These criminals were known as the Reapers of Sirius, later known to be the Order. The reapers were working side-by-side with the Order. Back in these days, a Star tracker was a ship of the Elite so seeing the Reapers pilots weakling scrub fighters take down the Liberty Navy's Pride and Joys was a startling surprise for not just Liberty but for all the other Houses. The Destroyers were then unstabilised and nearly destroyed before Liberty Navy Guardian's entered the scene with four Repair ships. In that time however, a Reaper disclosed a Proximity Mine in each of the two Destroyers. This whole operation took a few minutes, but each second counted as much as the next. Later on, the Reaper's were repelled back to their hideout waiting for the inevitable destruction of the Two most powerful destroyers in Sirius.

The next day, a news broadcast was sent out to the known Universe courtesy of the Sirius Galaxy News Service (SGNS) This important report was about the Crew that were on the Two destroyers. Over four thousand people were killed in this sad tragedy. For two hundred and fifty years, everybody held an hour of their time each year, to honour their memories. Its also par this fact, that now most of this technology has been lost, which meant, that Liberty had taken a major step back in the Technology Race while others soared ahead. Even now, the Liberty Government is recovering against the expenses of their two lost destroyers.

Argh, that's all I can bother to say now, but come back another time, I assure you, I will at least have another story for you. I think it will have to do with the Inner Core Black Hole, but that's all I'm telling you...

  • So another tale you wish to hear? You remember the Black Hole of the Inner system? Well in one time, near the first century of living in the Sirius Sector. An expedition of twenty of the best House pilots were sent to the edge of Omicron Theta to test their new Shuttle. Their destination was the Centre of our galaxy to close this Black Hole case for good. This project was first known as the PROJECT:: KAPPA. Project Kappa housed the first ever thrusters built within the colonies. The Shuttle managed to hold twenty of them as well as a gigantic Powerplant called the TITANIC-17X. This powerplant later on would be the default fit for every Capital ship ever made. Anyway one day, the houses sent fleets along with the Capsule of the shuttle. As soon as it would disembark, the capsule would disintegrate and the shuttle would be released into the vacuums of unknown space. There have been a few logs made by some crewman of the Shuttle which I just happen to have. Ah, here we are

    PILOTS LOG DAY 2:
This is Sir Frierdermann of the Rheinland Military. I am a Sergeant of the great artillery regime, well was the sergeant of the great artillery regime. Now I am here on this massive shuttle headed to the centre of the Galaxy to prove whether there is a supergiant Black Hole or not. I'm already home-sick. I wish I was back on Planet Hamburg sipping Steinlager and eating Frankfurters. Those are nice. Anyway, nothing to report, just empty vacuums of Particle clouds and desolate planets. Although, I thought I did see a Rheinland Wraith flying beside us for a few seconds, then it disappeared. It must be my mind playing tricks on me. Anyway, it is time for us to get some sleep. At this rate, we won't be near the Black Hole until the end of the month. God bless.

    PILOTS LOG DAY 8:
This is Ma'am Mary Ballencourt of the Liberty Senate. Nothing to report so far, however there was an unexpected gas leak on day 5, but that was clearly patched up. We must've hit an asteroid while passing through an asteroid field. I swear my mind is playing tricks on me. I swore, in the distance, I saw a massive Blue thing, sort of the same size as the old battleships like the Yamato and the Reliant before we left Sol. Anyway, I turned around for a second and when I looked back, it was gone. I seriously wish I was back on Planet Manhattan attending important political meets with the other house senates. Instead, I'm on this hunk of metal with nineteen other random people. I wish I was home already

    PILOTS LOG DAY 12:
This is Sir James McArthur. At the current moment, all we see now are strange. I swear the other day, I looked out a shuttle window and saw a ship graveyard! Filled with Corsair Recon fighters. I've never seen such a sight! All of us saw them so we can't be imagining them. Also, Mary noticed she saw a strange blue ship on day 6, well today, I saw it too, as did a couple other crew members. They deemed it was strange. I noticed that it wouldn't be hostile, otherwise we would've been dead already. Day and day, we are closer to the centre of the Galaxy and near the Centre of the our hard work. I can't wait for it to be over.

    PILOTS LOG DAY 21:
This is secretary Hideyoshi of the Japanese Political Agenda sending out a distress call to any who can reach us! We appear to have stumbled upon a desolate Desert planet deprived of any resources. Repairs will take weeks if we even find all our parts. Our engines were shot down by strange Blue things! They were accompanied by a weird green monster. All the blue things were shooting us with strange blue lasers while the Green monster seemed to be controlling them. As soon as our engines were critically damaged, they disappeared without a trace! Not to mention the other day, I saw a Dragon ship floating and keeping pace with our Shuttle. Even if it was possible for a Pilot to make it out this far without Fuel Cell's, there would be no way for it to keep up with us. We were travelling near the Speed of Light, and the ship wasn't even spluttering. I watched it carefully and noticed something. When it disappears, a small veil appears around it then it closes in and disappears. I don't even know what's going on anymore. I never signed up for this.

    PILOTS LOG DAY 37:
This is John Devin. Our ship has been overrun by some sort of blue snakes. I was with the others when one crawled down some poor guys throat, and shot his mate. I managed to make it to the bridge with five other people. The rest of the shuttle has been overrun by these blue snakes as well as possessed humans. It's like something of a horror movie or something. We are currently on the edge of the Inner Plate of the Galaxy and should be converging on the Centre of the Galaxy in a few days now. I hope its soon. I've always wanted to see the Black Hole or whatever is there. However, it better be while I'm still alive. There's noway I'm going to be dead when we reach it.

    PILOTS LOG DAY 39:
Oh my lord. We reached our destination. There really is a black hole at the centre of our galaxy! But that's not all. Scans indicate structures around the Black Hole as well as a few immobile stations positioned everywhere through the system. This is nothing like we imagined! All our brethren will be proud of the discovery we made. To hell with humanity! We found our home! My masters are alive and well. You human's won't be around to see it however, We'll be sure of that..

Two month's after their departure, the shuttle landed on Planet Mojave in California. As soon as it did, it became a Universal Crisis. The Bretonia Armed forces, The Kusari Naval Forces as well as the Liberty Navy appeared and quarantined nearly most of the whole system. The log's were said to have been extracted by Kusari Special Forces, and burned. However, they weren't. They were kept in the Heaven's Gate, current home of Tegaki, whom is now deceased. When Edison Trent, Ozu Kun, and Lord Hakkera broke in, I did too and stole various artefacts and many other trinkets. But that doesn't matter. What does matter, is that this shuttle became the home of not just human pilots, but the Nomads, which I'm sure you know by now. If you look closely, You can still see the Crater upon which the shuttle crashed into.

That's all I can say today, my breathes are getting rather raspy with all this talking. I think next time however, we can discuss about how the 80 year war actually began, and it wasn't anything to do with the Rheinland Military and the GMG, but rather Bretonia Special Forces. Anyway, until next time adventurer..

  • Sorry about that young space cadet, I relocated for a *brief* amount of time, but anyway... where were we?

Ah yes, the 80 year war. So, of course you heard about the conflict between the GMG and the Rheinland military? Yeah... they hated each other’s guts for so long, you’d be surprised that they never initially started their war. In fact, both sides were scared of each other. Rheinland needed their H-Fuel and were scared of their superiority fighters, and the GMG were worried that the Rheinland war machine alongside with their secret experiments would cleanse them from the sector. Well, it may be surprising, but in fact, the Bretonian Special Forces had a large part of this war. But let me explain further.

You see, a bretonian going by the name of Lieutenant Lee Hash was exploring in his Clydesdale vessel in amongst the gas cloud of Sigma-13. He was collecting H-Fuel to sell for a tidy profit back on Planet Leeds. Often, he’d fly past a Rheinland military patrol and then he’d stumble into heavily protected gas miners, with escort fighters in Eagles and falcons. He knew it was only a matter of time before something happens and the whole system goes kablooey... so why not give it a little kickstart? Lord Hajima of the GMG was presiding in a small base just outside the small gas cloud that was in the centre of the system. Using intel that he... earnt off the Hogosha, he also established that there was another base presiding rather close to the base. An odd base with many flaws that the GMG miners were always seen mooring and offloading their fuel. If the base was somehow... compromised, it would mean that the H-Fuel and all the other elements combined that give it the ability to be processed into fuel, would spew back into the system, giving it a new look.

So for that, he went into Bretonia. He organised a small wing of bombers that would pelt the weakest parts of the base with Sunslayer torpedos which would then implode, destroying anything near its vicinity and making the whole system a pretty cloudy blue.

He came back with the bombers but however, stopped into Rheinland and supplied the bombers with the Rheinland Military tags. There was a lot more preparation involved but we’ll skip that needless information shall we?

Soon, a band of 12 bombers were stationed just outside the base. Each, they lined up their missile salvos and launched a volley of torpedos right at the weakest source of the station. Before the GMG had time to respond, the station was blown to bits, and anything close to the explosion was vaporised immediately, including half of the bombers.

Well after identifying the tags of the wreckages, the GMG were quick to engage any Rheinland forces left in the system, declaring an act of war on the explosion of the station. Rheinland, didn’t care about their accusations but rather the deaths of the pilots involved after the base was destroyed. Soon, all our war was commenced and sigma-13 was the battlezone. The lieutenant, did even more cruel sadistic stuff about that, and died because of his actions, but his most terrible legacy was the war that he started

  • I must pay attention more to this thread and other threads like it, one other just stated here. And I think Martind Forlon's also got a lot more stuff. Fictional history written for FL and CF adds huge colour to both sims. Something I'd like to become more familiar with. Is there a sequential, bibliographical list anywhere so I can start my history lessons? Thanks.

(Something to read on that plane trip when the battery runs out ….. ;))
