Coming Back After Almost A Year

Dear Friendly Community,

it is with a great pleasure to inform you that i will be back online since my rig got blown up during playing CF...
the power supply was on fire resulting the motherboard and also the graphic card were fried nicely...
luckily the other parts were not affected at all. since my pc was an old version, to get a suitable replacement was quite disappointing...
and luckily also, there is 1 shop in town that selling parts for old pc ... thank god for that ...

Things can get really hot inside the computer playing most any game or prolonged use. Staying on all day, sometimes things dry out inside from age and things like catching fire can happen.

My tablet recently started shutting down from overheating after doing it twice, figured it wasn't old enough to be doing it.
Touching it you could see it was too hot, on closer inspections, unmounted from its dock it has no fans just small air intakes at the bottom with tiny holes and a fair bit larger exhaust ports at the top, with the heat just radiating up and out of the top exhausts, the intakes were all but blocked, the way it sits in the dock you can't see it unless it is pulled out.

It was chocking ! on the outside it looked clean from regular dusting, but the intake ports were hidden.

what I did was use a vac to reverse suction both the intakes and exhaust ports.
it has been running fine for some months now, no more problems. Larger desktops and Portables may even need some dismantling and internal cleaning to achieve the same results, after prolonged use.
I know someone who buys a pc takes it apart and even adds extra heat sinks inside certain areas to keep the heat down.

i dont want my head to knocked again by my wife when she saw the fire coming out from the pc ... in fact, funny moments too ... hahahahaha ...

computer with flames shooting out of it? Damn what are you OCing it to? 500%?

I mean, there's a little bit of heat when i play Far Cry 4 or GTA 5 for an hour or two but thats expected. If you were overheating from playing CF you either got a REALLY old system or a heating problem
