  • I've been a huge fan of the Battlefield series ever since I installed the BF42 Tobruk map demo from the PC Gamer disk back in 2002. So every night I can be found in-game playing until the wee hours of the morning. Lately it's been BF1 & more likely than not, I'm getting owned. Still I find it fun and a great way to unwind after a long day at work. When not playing BF, my other passion are RPG's. While Path of Exile has soaked up thousands of hours of my life since it came out, the elder Scrolls has more or less claimed my soul...

  • TLDR: A cheaper PUBG with toonish animations and a crafting system...

  • Just completed Supreme Commander Forged Alliance third campaign mission, played as Cybran.
The mission takes place on a naval map, with a multi-phased mission layout (just like every other SCFA mission). The problem with that mission is that the map is freakishly big, in particular when the last phase begins and it turns out that you have to protect Aeon leader's palace (Srsly, she can't even be bothered to stuff her ass into an Armored Command Unit), which is located on another island on the other end of the map and is being assaulted from a Seraphim base located to the north of the same island. While there are two more Seraphim bases located between your deployment area and that palace. Not to mention Seraphim T3 submarines and T2 cruisers patrolling the waters, making short work on smaller ships and aircraft respectively.

Still, the mission is enjoyable. The key role was played by Galaxy Class Battleships and Salem Class Destroyers. Cybran battleships worked well against occasional T3 subhunters; as they have a lot of HP and are armed with torpedoes unlike other factions' battleships. As for Salem Class Destroyers, their ability to grow legs and turn into mobile firebase is always handy for defensive operations.
In addition I managed to jack a Seraphim T3 Engineer during the first phase and supplemented my fleet operations with their T3 battleships and carriers.

  • Sorry, for doubleposting, but I felt the need to tell about a couple of HS matches I won recently.

First one was my half-assed Dragon Priest deck vs. some Mage deck. I don't remember the specifics, probably a Freeze Mage? They had Ice Blocks (secrets that cancel lethal damage and make hero invulnerable until the end of the turn) up the wazoo though, Alexstrasza (9 mana 8/8, Battlecry: set target hero's HP to 15, Dragon) and Pyroblast (or was it dropped off Primordial Glyph?).
The point is, aside from all dragon stuff I had available, I also had Malchezaar (5 mana 5/6, at the start of the turn shuffles 5 Legendaries into your deck) and a bunch of Priest typical "copy a card from your opponent's hand/deck" tricks. I can't recall if The Lich King I had was from Malchezaar or I actually had it (TLK is very handy and I've got it from one of packs I got for singleplayer missions. Best. Reward. Ever. He's a 8 mana 8/8 Taunt that gives you a random Death Knight card at the end of the turn, and most of those are pretty awesome, except for Army of the Dead, Obliterate or Doom Pact).
But that stuff pretty much saved my ass in that match.
First, I managed to copy one of opponent's Ice Blocks.
Second, I got Death Grip off the Lich King. Death Grip doesn't copy the card it gives but directly steals it. And it gave me opponent's Alexstrasza.
Third, one of legendaries I got off Malchezaar was Mayor Noggenfoggler (9 mana 5/4; all targets chosen randomly).
Finally, since I'm playing as Priest, I had my healing Hero Power readily available.
End result was me pretty much facetanking everything, including a Pyroblast, surviving on 1 HP thanks to Ice Block, then saying "oh hey, remember I stole one of your minions with Death Grip? Kiss your Lexy goodbye!" and healing to 15 (Lexy isn't known as "Lifebinder" for nothing), then throwing Mayor Noggenfoggler shaped wrench into plans... tl;dr: very lucky draw and decent timing with Alexstrasza.

Second was half-assed Rogue vs. Raza/Gunner Priest. Once again, Rogue has an ability to obtain cards from opponent's class, which dropped me one of Priest's card-copying spells... which gave me Shadowreaper Anduin (Priest's hero card), the centerpiece of Gunner Priest deck.
As in, i call it "Gunner Priest" (alternative name is "Machine Gun Anduin") because Shadowreaper Anduin's Hero Power deals 2 damage and refreshes after player plays a card. Meaning that he can shoot something, play a card, shoot something again, play a card and repeat until he's out of mana or expended his hand. Which is delayed with Raza making Hero Power cost 1 (0 before nerf, back then Gunner Priests were a nightmare with 2 Radiant Elementals and Lyra the Sunshard... *DAKKADAKKADAKKA*).
But nobody spins long combos better than Rogue. I didn't even have all this "spin half of a deck in a turn" bullsh*t (I just wanted to complete a daily quest), just some cheap spells.

  • Arma 3 Antistasi

It's a scenario simulates real world guerilla warfare. Hit n Run attacks, winning the hearts and minds of locals, capturing key facilities like power plants and radio stations. You have to deal with counter attacks, QRF teams and a very upgraded AI that uses grenades effectively, can carry wounded friendlies and even call in for reinforcements, making your day very unpleasant.
