Stuck on mission 22 paradise lost

Is there a trick to this mission? I keep running into carrier groups and dying in seconds. This is taking the fun out of the game.

It's a rescue mission.

Hello Clhannah,
is that a mission when you need to find and destroy a Nomad city? Try flying straight to waypoint on cruise speed, don't engage enemy ships. (You only have to kill some Fighters and Bombers that can stop you cruise disruptors, but no need to stop for Carriers - just run away from them)

it isnt just a couple ships, there are at least 15-20 every time. I have tried this six or seven times and I get plastered. I tried going off to buy a better thruster, but then I couldn't get back to X-3043 -- the jump holes all say "access denied".

I am sure this is when you must travel to Lost Paradise. I have had much troubles too. However a quick tip. Buy the best Scanner (and thruster if possible) and as soon as you see them. Run the other direction. Up, down, left, or right. They work really well. If that doesn't work. The last plan would be to lower the Difficulty. You can find this on Game menu or F1 in space>Options>General>Lower Difficulty.

Thanks for the tips. I will happily lower the difficulty for this one mission! I wish I could free-play between missions, but as long as I can progress I am satisfied.
