Skill Revamp - Skill Planet - Impact on Boffs

  • Better late then never.
    With the upcoming skill revamp it is required to respect your toons.
    To prevent wasting respect tokens there are a few useful toons and some important info below.

    I personally see these tools as a good way to prevent wrong skill choices. Infact the skill player web tool shows way more information about the impact of your choices than the stuff you can see in the game.

    with yesterdays tribble patch again changes to the skill system were made and probably this is not even the final state yet

  • From what I could read did the skill revamp have a major impact on the ship performance.


    Nearly everyone is reporting heavy increases of DPS with the new skill system.
    Also other aspects of the ship (speed/turn/hull/etc) seem to be much better meanwhile.



    It is adviced to use Intelligence as primary specialization and strategist as secondary.
    Below is a small summary about which skills are adviced by the DPS League.


    This is the skill tree adviced for Romulans:


    This is for Fed/KDF chars:



    By using one of these skilltrees you will get some passive unlocks.
    You can chose them in the progression bar at the bottom of skilltree.
    You’ll
    get two engineering unlocks, choose “Battery Expertise” and “Maximun
    Hull Capacity”.You’ll get one science unlock, you can choose there what
    you want more “Sector Space Travel Speed” or “Transwarp Cooldown
    Reductions”.
    You’ll get all four tactical unlocks, you should choose
    “Hangar Weaponry”, “Projectile Critical Chance”, “Energy Critical
    Chance” and “Accuracy”.


    Furthermore the tactical ultimate ability “Focused Frenzy” will be
    unlocked and all three enhancements of it. Make sure to choose them.
    “Focused Frenzy” is a really strong ability. In ISA it can be used on
    the transformers, the gateway and the tactical cube. A team should
    coordinate the usage of it.







    This one is for ground:



    It is possible to choose passive unlocks here, too.
    Some of them are only allowing you to craft training manuals others will improve the character’s performance on ground.
    Feel free to decide which training manuals you want to be able to craft. From the unlocks which are improving the performance the following ones should be choosen:
    “Device Expertise”, “Improved Aim”, if you play melee choose “Fatal Fists”, if you don’t play melee you can decide if you want “Furious Footwork” instead of it, “Improved Flank Damage” and “Offensive Mastery”.

  • Ok meanwhile I managed to do my first own test.
    The most fucked up ISA run ever.


    I messed up the start... I forgot to enable my alpha strike... I got stuck for 30secs near the transwarp hub coz of a tractor beam.... I died once coz of getting stuck... the nanite spheres healed the right transformer


    .... and still i got 74k dps on this totally messed up run
    certainly not my highest result but based on everything that went wrong I would have expected like ~40k
