    • SHIP CHOICE: using fast ships make smuggling easier, if you want use bigger & slower hauler then you will need use more tricks as only "boost away".
    • INTERDICTED: When you are interdicted don't fight it, throttle back and gently drop out of SC. This way the FSD cool down time is much shorter. As soon as you drop out turn around and FACE the system authority vessel. Don't try to boost AWAY from the Sys Auth. Boost TOWARD and PAST him!!! The Sys Auth scan only works if the Sys Auth is FACING you. Once you've flown past the Sys Auth keep boosting. You should have plenty of time to escape his scan range before he can turn full circle and start pursuing. Engage SC as soon as the cool down period ends and head back along your merry way
    • SCANNED INSIDE STATION: They always could complete a scan if you didn't break their line of sight. For as long as they have a clear line of sight to your ship the scan will continue, potentially to completion. Duck behind the top or bottom of the slot to break their line of sight and the scan stops. If you're still on the glide path down the center of the bay and they can see you through the slot you're still vulnerable to scans.
    • HOW to DISRUPT SCAN:
      - you need to increase distance between you and scanning ship above 2,5 km. Silent running (and/or use of Heat-sinks) can be helpful too.
      - break line of sight (hide behind something like station wall or move your ship out of front scanning vessel)
      - deploying hardpoints (may not work in all cases)
      - fire on scanning vessel (works in all cases) - there is ofc a fine for "attacking" included.
    • AVOID INTERDICT WHEN SCOOPING: Get close to the sun as if you're fuel scooping, put your throttle at 0%, and aim your engines at the sun. Interdictions only work if you can get behind your target, and the same applies for NPCs trying to interdict you. Positioning yourself like this causes the NPC's to hit the sun when trying to get behind you, dropping them from SC. Once they're gone, throttle up and go on your way
    • CLOSELY FOLLOWED BY Sys Auth NEAR STATION in SC: If you're approaching your Station to dock, and there's a Security ship following you nearby, he WILL appear when you come out of super cruise at the station. He will probably also try to scan you and will likely succeed unless you're boosting away. To avoid this scenario you can do next - just drop out of SC at less then 1.0 ls away from destination, cool down and re-engage. For outposts if there is someone - enter SC, make a quick loop and approach again.
    • DOCK AT BIG STATION: Move your ship to be at bigger distance (10km) directly to base entrance. Then go fast in (you can use silent if want), ask permission at 7,5 km!! and duck behind top or bottom base slot.
    • SILENT RUNNING is NOT cloaking: If an NPC interdicts you, he has spotted you already. If he is close enough to scan you, it's already too late to hide. Despite all of the extra button pushing and "I want to believe" mentality of people, heat sinks and chaff are not doing anything to prevent you from being scanned. They won't stop the scan. If he's close enough to scan you, he's close enough to see you. It doesn't matter if you're sitting there cooking yourself when he can physically SEE you. What is working, is the "Run fast" (the silent has nothing to do with it).
    • HOW TO PREVENT BEEN INTERDICTED IN SC: Find the person who threatened the interdiction and keep them in front of you while charging your FSD for the next jump. When it's fully charged, line up the jump while keeping your target in front of you if possible, and jump. This only really works if there aren't two or more people after you.
