Months ago we have changed the rank structure and promotion conditions in order to motivate out STO Fleet members to join the forum, contribute and share experiences with other Fleet members.
Well, I guess STO players are very stubborn. That rank/promotion structure didnt work well.
At least it didnt lead to the desired effects of community activity, better member progress and sharing knowledge between fleet members.
Since I doubt that all of a sudden the situation will change I decided to go back to the roots and revert the rank structure back to its original state.
With that nearly all Fleet members got promoted yesterday (to the ranks that were valid originally).
The Fleet website has been updated with new updated rosters and fleet uniforms.
Promotions will happen more frequently again and will be based only on fleet contribution.
