  • The Iconians have been a constant threat in Star Trek Online for over five years, and we’ve been in open war with them for nearly 6 months. The alliance has enjoyed minor victories and suffered major defeats, but they now have a technological advantage they are scrambling to bring into the field. With their backs against the wall and the temporal prime directive in mind, the alliance is poised to make an unthinkable decision. These are dark times filled with tough choices and personal sacrifice, the future can be bright again but it’s always darkest before the dawn.

Star Trek Online is proud to present the finale to the Iconian War: Midnight.

  • Very disappointing war... except the alliance everyone else refused to fight.
No sight of the dominion. The undine which offered their support didnt engage in any fights. The Voth remain far away from the war. No breen, no deferi... nobody got the memo that there is a war.

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

    This is ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

  • Agreed. This didn't feel like war at all. Apart from some war stories, there was no sense of urgency and the horrors of war. Instead, we had a holiday on Risa.
What about Sela and her dealings with the Iconian threat? Will this be resolved?
Who is "The Other" who has saved the Iconians 200k years ago?
I would have liked to see huge fleet action, devastating losses, impossible to meet objectives to make it feel more like war.
Iconian red alerts could have been another option.
Does anyone remember the Kelvans from TOS? They came from Andromeda to invade our Galaxy. Shouldn't they have fitted in here somehow? After all, that's were the Iconian have been for the last 200k years.
All in all, this so far has been a poor climax for a 5 year build up.
