If your game crashed after intros it may be only for 2 reasons: forget delete/move old freelancer saves OR bugged mod installation and activation.

I had this issue. The mod wasn't activated correctly. Try with re-installing the game and activating the mode again while your AV (Anti-Virus) is off or even better delete it before re-installing the game. You can't belive how many times an AV is at fault!
