  • This event is organized to celebrate the birthday of Freelancer. As a celebratory event, it will run every day, starting on Wednesday, 4th of March, at 1930 Server Time, and ending on Wednesday, 11th of March, when we bring out the big guns. As a celebratory event, I will, along with OP, SA Command and the EM team, introduce participation rewards that will increase when certain milestones are reached, both solo and in a group/party/wing. This will be a DYNAMIC EVENT, meaning that the objectives will change daily. Sucessfully completing the objectives will result in higher rewards.

Following a sucessful mission, namely Operation Rising Sun, we have liberated Planet Pichon of enemy forces and made it a habitable spot in a dangerous envirnoment. 7 months have passed without any troubles detected, until not so long ago, when we received reports of a colony ship landing on Planet Pichon. How they passed the sensor stations that have been placed in the system, nobody knows. What we do know is that the system is now inhabited with more forces then ever before, meaning that the enemy forces have found out about our plans to recolonize the systems and boost the defence of the Kavash in Inner Core. This will not go without our involvment. That is why the Silver Arrows are organizing a raid, in hopes to liberate the system of enemy forces. We are hereby calling all available pilots from Sirius and Altair to join forces, forget old grudges and assemble in Omega-3 for an expedition in Inner Core. The Kavash need us again, and we will help.

Mission Information: Liberate Planet Pichon, destroy enemy defenses, weaken enemy influence in the system
Mission Date: Stardate Wednesday, 4th of March 821. AS (After Settlement), 1930 hours (server time)

Yesterdays action was a great success, as I can see my absence did not cause any big issues. Admiral Forlon informed me of the greatness of the battles you all participated in, and I am forever in your debt. Yet I come with disturbing news. Yesterdays action brought success but it also came with heavy unrest among the Inner Core aliens, and according to our deep space scans we have discovered huge fleets amassing in Jormdar. Todays action will need to be in a hit-and-run style, so we won't be bringing any heavy weaponry, yet we will be taking on big ships.

Todays task: Infiltrate Inner Core and eradicate any opposing forces; Destroy at least 5 wings composing of at least 1 Battleship/Mothership

You will be greatly awarded for your deeds.

    Captain Hasashi, signing off.

Mission Information: Reach Jormdar without any casualities; take on any opposing forces; destroy 5 wings composed of at least 1 Battleship/Mothership
Mission Date: Stardate March 3rd 821. AS (After Settlement), 2100 Server Time

Another job well done. The sensors have picked up a mass retreat from the inner core forces and we have achieved another victory. Though duty calls again. The enemy has regroupped and is ready to strike again. This time we need to strike hard. For that we need bigger ships that can take on any kind of threat. That's why the Silver Arrows will bring one of their capital ships into Inner Core this time, in order to battle the threat that poses the friendly team. Take good care of the battleship because if it is destroyed, our operation will fail.

Mission Details: Strike the enemy with heavy force; exterminate alien threat; protect the battleship at all costs
Mission Date: Stardate March 6th 821. AS (After Settlement), 2100 Server Time
Mission Lead: Fleet Admiral Martind Forlon

  • Okh, Okh, OukH! .. and hihoo !
Due to unforeseeable circumstance Captain Hanzo Hasashi was unable to lead this mission or attend at all. For reasons buried deep in his mind he entrusted ME, even though no clan-member of SA - even though no "human" - with the execution of his operational plans. WISE CHOICE :D

After collecting the volunteering pilots who came in time, despite the postponement due to Cpt. Hasashis foiling, at the SA main base in Omega-3 and some little delay at the jumpgate to Venn, waiting for some "just decided" further and - as should be proofed - very welcomed reinforcements, our task force assembled in Venn, at that point consisting of :
    a delegation from merc-clan DP :

    • |DP|denne°
    • |DP|Shao.Khan

the starting freelancer pilots complement of

    • Esox
    • Apache-AH64
    • KLAATU, who stayed already at Weth (seemingly part of an Humanity-Dom'Kavash exchange program)

the well equipped delegation from the (very) free traders IOC

    • (IOC)SilverFox.*
    • (IOC)Asklepius (in a Repair Ship from IOC clans home system New Hongkong, which came very handy in further development)

    our single SA clan officer

    • SA_Experimental

and as the officer in charge - me

    • Reg.APE.Shoe

Later on we were joined by a civilian explorer group that dwelt in DK-space

    • hornynanuk
    • DerChoco
    • TheTex

In a free and well-educated interpretation of Cpt. Hasashis detailed orders : " ... go there and kill them all !" I divided our task force on different routes, one smaller group taking the "southern passage" via Celldra and Pyrddra consisting of some the most experienced pilots, the other, bigger group on the "northern route" via Jormdar with the rest of the pilots relying on strength of numbers and the support of our Repair ship. Aim was to divert and confuse enemy forces until meeting of the two groups in Methpher to fight our way through in strength to Planet Pichon in Ryssk, then taking advantage of the possibility to reload at Mirrtrak in Weth, what was granted by the Dom'Kavash as their least part of this operation.

Almost immediately after setting courses our groups had to encounter the enemy in great force. Northern group managed with ferocious attacks to draw their main attention to enable Southern group leaving the area for their delicate mission of sneaking guerrilla tactics on a longer path. With setting course along the several enemy stations in this system Northern group had to fight - and destroy almost countless enemy fighter wings consisting of fighters, bombers or even gunboats alone. One wing, two wings, at one point even three wings at the same time were tackled. The doms tried to divert our group to take each of us down alone. It didn't work. Everyone stood up against the enemies together, no one was "left behind".
    heavy enemy wings

This way almost no or only a very slow proceeding was possible for the Northern group. But plan seemed to work : while Northern group was heavily engaged, Southern group proceeded well, passing Celldra quite quickly, and it looks they even managed to disturb the enemy in Sadurn shortly. After northern group - finally - reached Jormdar our confidence was high after such mass killing of doms. Now we even dared to attack cruiser patrols. But maybe this was too much too early a success and we became a bit careless. We lost pilots Esox and (IOC)SilverFox.*.

However, reinforcements were on their way and an independent explorer group filled our ranks while brave KLAATU inexorably fought his way towards Southern group. Contact could finally be established between the two groups in Methpher. But this time misfortune struck the operation. A massively warping-energy loaded Ion storm hit us unfortunately much stronger than the doms letting us loose some of our best. The rest of us managed to reassemble and combine forces for passing trough Ryssk towards the main objection goal : Planet Pichon.

Well, ... "rest" ... . Now it was time to pay them back. Cruisers, Battleships, Motherships ... you name it, we attacked it.

    also the "BIG ONES"

    All what we got

When we finally reached the jumpgate to Weth six of us were left, and it was decided not to strain our luck and forces any more. BUT THEY HAD TO PAY A DEAR PRICE for it. We based our-selves for repair, reloading and refreshment at Mirrtrak Battle station, awaiting reinforcements for the proceeding of the operation the next day.

Even though we could not fulfill our mission completely to free the region around Planet Pichon, the doms have brought to Inner Core just too many forces, we managed some relief for the settlement in distracting and destroying great enemy forces.

  • Awesome report, thx! :sehrgut: ... very nice organized action overall, new players coming in and constant action. And to add to report above - "South path group" cleaned aggressively path through Celldra to Pyrddra and Mepther with many destroyed gunboats and different smaller hostile ships. They tried hard to destroy human intruders ... but there was not luck available for them :D:diablo:

  • Thank you for responding on such short notice @NucNuc, couldn't have done it without you. And also, thanks for the great response, I'm so sad I couldn't participate. I still haven't gotten the issue fixed (it's software related), so todays expedition will be lead by someone else if NucNuc doesn't feel like it.

Rewards will be updated later according to the above post (NucNuc's)

  • A 1st, short debriefing about day 2 of operation Firefall :
7 MOTHER- and BATTLESHIP destroyed added by uncountable CRUISERS :diablo:

  • Human forces in Weth

Second day started with our fighters wing (+repair ship) dispatched from Mirtrrak Battle Station in Weth.

In Ryssk we were reinforced with Liberty Dreadnought - Virginia which entered Inner Core sector from Omega-3 and silently slipped through hostile systems till reached Weth gate. Dooms forces didn't count with human heavy ship presence, and therefore was incoming Warrior's battleship group completely destroyed in very short time. We continued to Mepther, when was from our heavy ship reported starting technical issues with shields system.

Commanding officer APE (mysterious man, very likely The Order representative :) ) decided to send dreadnought to the nearest repair buy for repairs (estimated repair time 7 hours) and was called another heavy ship. For our disposal was Bretonia Dreadnought - Harbinger docked in Blood Guard base in Custodian. This heavy ship quickly entered X-3043 and headed to Omega-3 through Omicron Alpha. After short stop at Secret GMG Research Facility dreadnought entered Hypergate and moved fast towards Venn gate. In Venn was waiting fighter pilot Apache and both ships set course to Jormdar gate evading all hostile forces. In operation area (Jormdar) was started fight. Many Dooms pilots died this day as also were destroyed larger amounts of their small and also heavy ships ...

  • THX Martind, this reliefes me of a lot of "paperwork" for SA Command :D

    btw :
Due to RL reasons I will most likely NOT be able to be there tonight. :(
Maybe someone else can "check" with Trinity about tonights objectives.

  • I should be available, but can be "for sure" come at 21:00 server time. Dreadnought will be ready in Omega-3 and VHF in Weth.

  • Third day in Operation Firefall was aimed on Pyrddra system. Silver_Arrows dreadnought commanded by Fleet-Admiral Forlon was refitted in Omega-3 and joined fighter escort in Venn while heading to Pyrddra. Human forces previously stationed in Weth at the same time entered Ryssk and moved on high speed to Pyrddra too. Dreadnought passing through Venn had on start few troubled moments ... first it was an ambush held by Dom'Nepesh where was lost 1/3 hull while escaping and second harder moment came near gate to Jormdar when during four gunboats attack temporary malfunctioned targeting computer (CTD ...). But also from this was human heavy ship able escape, and after was joined by fighter pilot denne both ships escaped to Jormdar. There was established encrypted communication with second group coming from Weth and from that point began the operation to run more smoothly.

Whole human fleet regrouped in Pyrrdra at gate from Mepther. We had except dreadnought available also repaired battleship Osiris commanded by an independent captain Apache, and with this we were prepared to throw some hell on the dooms presence here. Along our path was performed detailed scan for every planet or small moon ... main reason for this was an unknown coded message captured in this system previous day. Silver_Arrows scientists from Cambridge_labs were able partially decode message and this especially because it was an old human fleet code! With this there was a rising chance that we could be able find a small track about exploration fleet which was lost longer time ago and which except others things has deployed many repair buoys in Inner Core systems which are used by our pilots daily.

And our hopes were more as only filled! During a time when were established telemetry links with sensors deployed to Planet Strevum, was in space found huge metal body which was only a few minutes later identified as one old human battleship. From dreadnought undocked small transporter with boarding team and human forces were standing on defense while started a hell all around with coming numerous dooms fleets. No matter how hard they tried, wave by wave were dooms fleets destroyed. The main reason why was this possible was more as professional work done by IOC crew piloting a repair ship (Thx Lexx!). Doing a miracles on regular basis they were able keep both our heavy ships operational as also resupply fighters with bots and bats. It was only a short time which needed a boarding team for return on dreadnought deck, but counting debris amount newly floating around Strevum, it was an heavy pay-back done by us to the dooms forces! Operation after this continued, system detailed scanning was finished and our fleet entered back-route to Weth. Communication specialists on the dreadnought board in meantime worked hard on restoring data acquired from battleship wreckage. There were partly uncovered details from one from most risky humans operations in the past ...
