PerfOptions.ini settings

During the first installation procedures on 5th Nov., encountering some graphical HUD probs, I tried changing the resolution manually in the PerOptions.ini. as already "teached to me" during 1.9 era.
(Btw. : didn't worked, CF/FL always switches to "natural display resolution" by itself, but I'm fine with "non-golden" HUD )

Thereby I came across these three "options" :
[xattach=5056][/xattach]
Just after frist install it showed "advanced_graphics = 0.00"
With some problems on first shader options selection during activation (before the launcher updates with this possibility in its "settings" menu) I changed it into the state as show above.
... and just kept it that way, as I hadn't .... not many problems with it (never change a winning(?) team ).

Question now :
- How do these settings or change of these settings affect CF 2.0 ?
- What settings are ... recommended or should be set there ?

Oh, before someone asks : yes I have adjusted my flconfigdatabase.txt to my garphic card

APE... just want to ask something ...

SkipMachineWarnings=FALSE ... <--- this is yours...

But mine is =TRUE ...

Does it make any difference ???

I didn't touch anything installing CF 2.0
SkipMachineWarnings=false -> graphics warning showing up at startup (true->don't show)

color_bpp = 32
depth_bpp = 24

That's your figure ...

color_bpp = 16
depth_bpp = 16

i just simply cannot change that btw ... if i change... it will revert to the old numbers ...

you dont need to alter anything in this file. The launcher has an option to force the desktop resolution, which is enabled by default. If you dont want that, then simply disable it

Hello,
I have a question to NucNuc too

The screenshot shows "max_submitted_sounds = 1.00", but the game allows to set only 32 voices, which corresponds to "max_submitted_sounds = 0.32" in the ini file.
I have a discrete sound card (Auzentech X-Fi Forte) that allows hardware acceleration of up to 128 DirectSound voices, but when I change the value to "max_submitted_sounds = 1.28", some sound distortion appears in game, so I have to keep it at 0.32. (Later I noticed that the game doesn't use DirectSound API at all, just the MME wave output and software mixing I guess ).

The question is, does "max_submitted_sounds = 1.00" work fine for you, with 100 voices and no glitch?

"max_submitted_sounds = 1.00" I assume referres to the slider in "Options - Audio", that I have put to the utmost right - as for every sound option there.
works fine for me, but ... I also have no discrete sound card, only "onboard" sound.

Just one question.
Why doesn't it work, the way it's apparently supposed to work. screenshots 1-4 showing.

my native resolution is 1920x1080x32
what I get with this option enabled (adjust to desktop resolution) is 800x600x32 and no option to change that.
applying the widescreenfix doesn't help either.

what's running wrong there?

and when I disable this feature (adjusting to desktop screen) the max resolution I can get is 1280x960x32

@Abrasdevil ... can you try putting this "-dx" thing at your CF shortcut ...

no the option from the launcher already adds the dx.

Bcs to me, your desktop don't looks like 1920x1080x32 (Desktop resolution - Native)

I'm using 1920x1080x32
That's why I attached the screenshot from my nVidia control panel.

This is what kinda confuses me completely.

ps: I'm using a 24'' wide screen monitor.

have the same resolution, thats not the problem. eventually your graphic cards setting? or even its driver problem in win 8...? I cant test i only have win7
