8-15 FPs in an almost empty environtment
-
Even 5 FPS at the end, but it must be graphic related, since his CPU was at 0 %.
If it wasn't for the effects and such, the feature looks nice.
-
of course its graphic related
and for sure its not coz of fraps or whatever they used because these tools dont make a big difference today anymore -
Well, that's their official reason.

Indeed. We forgot to mention that in the article. FRAPs dropped his FPS.

Dev's computer hates Fraps. He runs at 60 FPS when not recording video.
By what I remember when using Fraps, it was the CPU that was getting killed by generating a gigabyte size of a video, but his one is at 0-1%, so I give up with guesses.
Anyway, for now I can just wish them good luck, it's their decision what to tell.

yep - it mostly has an impact on the cpu as it records the vid stream and writes them into a file (so hdd access also should be increasing)
for CF1.9 ive recorded a series of vids via fraps on 6 year old PC and the frame rates always remained over 30fpson my meanwhile 1 year old pc the framerates drop from 60 to 58 when i record something with fraps and set a custom frame rate to 60 on that tool (the converters reduce that anyways before i publish such vids)

Something seems to be wrong, wether they are right or not.
But I hope that issue will get somehow fixed because players will also want to make videos when they release it. Because it will be released, sooner or later.

2nd warning for friendlyfire
the forums report function is not your personal complaint button
it serves to report rule violations (which is not done here)
Facts and personal opinions are no rule violation -
I noticed the same problem in almost all FW vids...very low FPS.
-
I played on my NASA spec and it still had low FPS. Max i got was 45.
-
The newer thread with Sushi recording it, has 60 FPS.

well, you dont now what pc he is using
the majority of FL players is on old hardware

Just need to ask, what do you qualify as old hardware? I get 45 - 60fps and my rig is.... old. 5 years old the graphics card is 6 almost 7 now. and thats even running FLServer, Skype and a whole host of other programs all at the sametime. As for majority of FL players is on old hardware.... I'm on what would be considered legacy hardware. Im running the game at 1920x1080 and i get that FPS... I dont think thats something you can sniff at... specially because my system is as old as it is.
Your picking at holes that just dont exsist... imho dude.
Im just trying to clear up this whole "It runs like a sack of crap" crap.

we will see
i can also get my mod running on a 10 year old pc... question is how it will look like and how the performance will be in certain situations -

it may be fear
things evolve - fortunaly
some ppl. do not - unfortunalyIt's really great stuff.
