Here you find the basic rules for most events. However, depending on the mood and experience of the event-manager some rules and rewards in game might differ.
Expect event-announcements in game at any time you see an event-manager online or check daily the calender and forum here on swat-portal!
Players who participate in events are considered out of server roleplay during the time of the event. Every interfering with the event from outside players under the excuse of roleplay (or just trolling) will be punished by Galaxy Rangers.
Battleship-Assault
Location: Wheel of Sirius
Duration: approx. 30 - 60 min
Gameplay:
Two teams fight each other. Both teams have each 1 Dreadnought (or Battleship) and several fighters. The fighters of team A try to kill the Dreadnought of team B (and vice versa). Teams are inter-clan, meaning that freelancers, pirates, mercs, smugglers and cops usually fight alongside each other.
Rules:
· the Dreadnoughts have to be non-cruise-disrupter-proof
· the fighters and their equipments can be freely chosen by the players, but
· no mines, no nanobots, no shield batteries
· killed players must return to the fight ASAP
· no suicide, no dockraping
· the Dreadnoughts are allowed to go whereever they want but only between Planet Death and the ring-construction, not above nor below
· the team with 3 kills of the opponent Dreadnought is proclaimed winner
Rewards:
· Winning team: 30 million (per player)
· Participation: 15 million (per player)
Death Match
Location: Arena
Duration: approx. 30 min
Gameplay:
Fight is all versus all.
Rules:
· no mines, no nanobots, no shield batteries
· killed players must return to the fight ASAP
· no suicide, no dockraping
· selfkills are penalized
· winner is determined by the best kill/death ratio.

Smuggler Hunt
Location:

approx. 60 - 90 min
Gameplay:
The Hunters have to hunt the Smugglers and kill them. The Smugglers have to manage to fight their way to a special station to deliver their goods. Two or more smugglers start from a given system and have to dock at a final station. On their way to that station, they have to reach two other systems (checkpoints). Hunters know only the final docking station but not the two intermediary systems.
Rules:
· player that is killed by another player or an NPC can't return to the hunt
· clan systems (Custodian, Hiruga, Omega 3, Purian Lake, Sigma 13, Sigma 17) are included by default and can be used unless otherwise specified
· no nanobots, no shield batteries, no docking for repairs and reloads, all players must carry 1 BMG
· smuggler must NOT fly capital ships!
· all checkpoints must be tagged by the smuggler before (s)he reaches the target system (this is controlled by the EM)
· hunters - NO CAMPING - unless you're flying a capital ship and this is your specific task (eg. guarding a wormhole/jumpgate)
· hunters cannot enter the target system itself until the smuggler is at least 1 system away from the target system
· hunters work as a team, so no killing and PvPs between hunters!
Rewards:
· Participation: 5 million
· Smuggler tags checkpoint: +5 million
· Smuggler kills hunter: +5 million
· Smuggler reaches target: +10 million
· Hunter kills smuggler: +10 million

Starflier Team Death Match

Top Gun

Gameplay:
Fight is all versus all. Objective is to stay alive last - last player alive wins the round.
Rules:
· no mines, no nanobots, no shield batteries
· The fight is all vs all - no clan/ally-style grouping!
· When starting, players should be at least 2k apart from every other participant.
· There are three rounds: The first two rounds will be all vs all.
· The winners of the first two rounds (last men standing) will fight in the 3rd (final) round.
· All participants must engage on start - no waiting for everyone to kill each other then join in at the last moment.

Ancient Hunt

Collect the maximum number of Ancient weapons in specified time frame by killing Ancients in Dervon system. This is a cooperative play event. This means, there are 2 teams (2 teamleaders volunteer and choose their teammembers) and the total amount of collected guns of each team will decide wich team wins. Both teams hunt Ancients in the same time.
Rules:
· when the time is up, the Event Manager will let you know, and you must leave the field immediately and return to GMG Observatory Command Module, stopping all fighting
· after the team members arrive back, they will wait near the station to be scanned
· the team with most Ancient weapons will be the winner
· no char switching & cheating (bringing in Ancient Weapons from stores)
· if you die, return to the hunt asap

Rewards:
· Winning team: 10 million (per player) + 3 million per collected gun (of the whole team)

Ancient Hunt 2.0
Difficulty: very hard!

Gameplay:
3 players will go to hunt Ancients solo, one after the other (not in the same time)
Rules:
· EM announces event "Ancient Hunt 2.0" 30 min prior beginning
· the first 3 players responding on the announcement are registered for event
· solo-hunting of Ancients
· EM escorts the players and counts the killed Ancients till the players gets killed by Ancients or time limit has been reached (or abort for any other reason)
· time limit per player: 30 min
· winner is (of course) the one, who killed most Ancients
· Ships allowed: LF, HF and VHF

Dom'Kavash Hunt

Collect the maximum number of Dom'Kavash-Annihilators in specified time frame by killing Dom'Kavash-gunboats in Hieron. This is a cooperative play event. This means, there are 2 teams (2 teamleaders volunteer and choose their teammembers) and the total amount of collected guns of each team will decide wich team wins. Both teams hunt Dom'Kavash-gunboats in the same time.
Rules:
· when the time is up, the Event Manager will let you know, and you must leave the field immediately and return to given meeting point (i. e. the jumphole to Gurm), stopping all fighting
· after the team members arrive back at the meeting point, they will wait to be scanned
· the team with most DK weapons will be the winner
· no char switching & cheating (bringing in DK Weapons from stores)
· if you die, return to the hunt asap

Dooms Hunt
Difficulty: very hard!

Venn (for meeting) and all hostile Inner Core systems between Venn and Weth (for hunting)

Gameplay:
Collect the maximum number of alien weapons in specified time frame by killing Dooms in hostile IC-systems. This is a cooperative play event. This means, there are 2 teams (2 teamleaders volunteer and choose their teammembers) and the total amount of collected guns of each team will decide wich team wins. Both teams hunt aliens in the same time.
Rules:
· when the time is up, the Event Manager will let you know, and you must be in Weth immediately
· after the team members arrive in Weth, they will wait to be scanned
· the team with most alien weapons will be the winner
· no char switching & cheating (bringing in alien Weapons from stores)
· if you die, return to the hunt asap

Nomad Hunt

Arena (for meeting) and Freeport 7 (for hunting)

Gameplay:
Collect the maximum number of nomad weapons in specified time frame by killing Nomads in Freeport 7. This is a cooperative play event. This means, there are 2 teams (2 teamleaders volunteer and choose their teammembers) and the total amount of collected guns of each team will decide wich team wins. Both teams hunt Nomads in the same time.
Rules:
· when the time is up, the Event Manager will let you know, and you must leave the system immediately and return to Arena, stopping all fighting
· after the team members arrive back in Arena, they will wait to be scanned
· the team with most nomad weapons will be the winner
· no char switching & cheating (bringing in Nomad Weapons from stores)
· if you die, return to the hunt asap

Collect the maximum number of Xenos-guns in specified time frame by killing Xenos in Hudson. This is a cooperative play event. This means, there are 2 teams (2 team leaders volunteer and choose their team members) and the total amount of collected guns of each team will decide wich team wins. Both teams hunt Xenos in the same time.
Rules:
· when the time is up, the Event Manager will let you know, and you must leave the system immediately and return to Texas, stopping all fighting
· after the team members arrive back in Texas, they will wait to be scanned
· the team with most Xenos guns will be the winner
· no char switching & cheating (bringing in Xenos guns)
· if you die, return to the hunt asap

Big Race

Gameplay:
The race goes over several systems. Objective is to be the first at the final destination.
Rules:
· racers will be called to the starting race system (usualy Arena) before the event starts
· EM tells about the destination and several checkpoints (usually 2 - 5 systems)
· racers dock and start racing when Even Manager gives the “GO"
· racers are free to choose their route but have to go into the checkpoint-systems
· when racers are in checkpoint-systems, they have to tell the EM that they are in
· no char-switching
· no formation with other participants
· the use of lethal force and/or disrupting of trade lanes are decided upon by the Event Manager
· if you die (i.e. killed by NPC-s), you can return to the race

meet the event-manager in announced system and after event starts fly through the tradelanes into the given direction and with the announced number of rounds.
Rules:
· all participants dock and wait for the "GO!" of the EM, then starting the race into the given direction
· shooting tradelanes: allowed
· shooting other participants with cruise-disruptors: allowed
· other players disturbing the racers by shooting the trade-lanes and using CD-s against participants are welcome and will receive participant-reward too
· winner is the fist one docking at the starting station after 5 rounds
· if you die (i.e. killed by NPC-s), you can return to the race
· no char-switching
· no formation with other participants

· go through the Hive system, leave it, go back to planet Issos and dock there
· repeat this with the announced number of rounds
· winner is the first one docking at planet Issos after the announced number of rounds
· if you die, you are out
· no char-switching
· no formation with other participants

The race goes over several systems. Objective is to trade containers between the announced planets and in the end be the first at the final destination.

· racers dock and start racing when Even Manager gives the “GO"
· racers are free to choose their route
· other players disturbing the racers by shooting the trade-lanes and using CD-s against participants are welcome and will receive participant-reward too
· no char-switching
· if you die (i.e. killed by NPC-s), you can return to the race
· no char-switching
· no formation with other participants

Furthermore you can expect irregularly different missions to hostile Inner Core or unknown systems, mostly staged by server-clans. Therefore big fleets consisting of Dreadnoughts, Battle- and Repairships and many Fighters are needed. Here some examples:
